ProCare Injury Specialists is proud to support the future of healthcare with the Texas Health Heroes Scholarship. The 2026 scholarship application period closed on July 1, 2026, and the winner of the $1,000 scholarship will be announced in August. This annual scholarship supports graduating Texas high school seniors who are pursuing a career in a health-related field, including future nurses, physicians, chiropractors, and other medical professionals. We are honored to support the next generation of health heroes who are passionate about helping others and building stronger, healthier communities across Texas. Please check back in spring 2027 for the ProCare Texas Health Heroes Scholarship application to reopen.

Scholarship Overview

  • Who can apply: High school seniors in Texas
  • Qualifications: Must plan to major in a health-related field* and have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA; planning to enroll in a Texas university
  • Award amount: $1,000
  • Submission deadline: July 1, 2026
  • Winner selected: August 3, 2026

*A health-related field or major includes disciplines that prepare students for careers in healthcare, medical research, and health services. This encompasses medical and clinical fields such as Pre-Medicine, Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, and Dentistry. It also includes allied health professions like Medical Laboratory Science, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedicine, Speech-Language Pathology, and Athletic Training. Additionally, majors in Public Health, Health Science, Healthcare Administration, and Epidemiology fall within this category, as well as fields in Biomedical and Health Sciences, including Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Nutrition, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, and Neuroscience. Lastly, mental and behavioral health disciplines such as Psychology, Counseling, and health-focused Social Work are also considered health-related fields.
