Mark Rouff, MD
Mark Rouff, MD, is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, and he leads ProCare’s provider team in Dallas–Fort Worth. Dr. Rouff has devoted his career to helping patients overcome complex pain symptoms, and he’s developed a real appreciation for the many challenges people face after an injury. He believes that helping patients understand their pain is a big first step in recovery, so he makes education a priority.
Dr. Rouff earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at East Carolina University. He then underwent extensive fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management at the Texas Pain Institute. Before joining ProCare, he built an interventional pain practice at Yuma Regional Medical Center, practiced in San Diego, and spent five years as a traumatic brain injury examiner for Veterans Affairs. His path to medicine is a little non-traditional: he spent seven years as a civil engineer and project manager before medical school. That engineering background still shows up in how he works. Dr. Rouff takes a careful, analytical approach to figuring out what’s driving each patient’s pain.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Rouff enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his wife and three children. As a dad, he loves being involved in his kids’ activities and interests.
