Akbar Hussaini, MD MS
Dr. Akbar Hussaini, MD, MS, FAAOS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon serving accident and injury victims across Central Texas. Raised in New York, he earned a B.S. and M.S. in Neuroscience from the State University of New York at Binghamton and the University of North Texas. He received his MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Dr. Hussaini completed fellowship training in hip and knee reconstructive surgery—emphasizing minimally invasive and robotic‑assisted techniques—at Johns Hopkins.
With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in hip and knee reconstruction, minimally invasive and robotic-assisted joint replacement, trauma, and sports medicine. Dr. Hussaini is widely recognized and highly rated for his compassionate, patient‑focused care.
